Mary Rose Zdunkewicz

Mayor Mary Rose Zdunkewicz was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, but came to Fort Bend County at the age of two and has been a resident of Weston Lakes since 1985. She was one of the first "settlers" in Weston Lakes and has been a major contributor to the community by participating in public service, community development, business and volunteer activities, such as, her service on the Board of Directors of the Fort Bend Chapter of the March of Dimes. Mayor Zdunkewicz attended Lamar Consolidated Independent School District.  She spent many wonderful years living in the town of Rosenberg. In addition to raising two children, Mayor Zdunkewicz was a small business entrepreneur, operating clothing and gift shops in Missouri City.  She has worked as a real estate sales representative for many of the major builders and developers in Fort Bend County and the Simonton-Fulshear area, and Mayor Zdunkewicz currently holds a valid Texas Real Estate Sales License.  She served for twelve years on the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District at a time when many of the plans and programs were put in place to respond to the steady growth in the population of Fort Bend County. She was elected to the office of Mayor for the City of Weston Lakes in the City's initial election by receiving the most votes in that high voter-turnout election.  Mayor Zdunkewicz has been married to Vic Zdunkewicz, her husband of 53 years, who has been the longest serving member of the Fort Bend County MUD 81 Board of Directors.  Her two children and four grandchildren are all attended the local schools and are proud Texans.  Mayor Zdunkewicz is a communicant at Guardian Angel Catholic Church.

Clifton H. Aldrich

Clifton H. Aldrich has been a resident of Weston Lakes since April  2005, and he came to Weston Lakes from Alexandria, Virginia.  Mr. Aldrich is a retired Military Officer and has over 49 years of military, contractor and consulting experience in military, business and civilian sectors.  As an Army officer, he commanded at every level in the Army from Company to Brigade and served in senior staff positions from Battalion to Major Army Command.  Mr. Aldrich retired as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, U.S. Army Materiel Command in Washington D.C. as a Colonel in 1993, after 32 years of active service.  He has a bachelors of arts in government from the University of Massachusetts and a masters in public administration from Southern Illinois University.  Mr. Aldrich also is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the Army War College.  Since retiring from the Army and Lockheed Martin, he has remained involved in consulting work with government and business organizations including the Congressionally appointed Commission on the Stationing of U.S. Military Forces Overseas, U.S. Army, L3 Com, Textron and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  Mr. Aldrich  has worked specifically over the last five years with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on pandemic influenza preparedness.  At Weston Lakes, he is an active participant in the Senior Men’s Golf Association.   Mr. Aldrich and his wife of 42 years, Frances, have two sons and a daughter.  Alderman Aldrich was elected to his current position in November 2008 and has served as the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Weston Lakes since that time.

Ted Case

Ted Case and his wife Julia and his family have been a residents of Weston Lakes since 1996.He has had a long career in the telecom industry in various positions throughout the country, and Mr. Case is currently a Vice President with British Telecom, which is  involved with the introduction of information, networks and switching technology in businesses and government and as such maintains a vigorous travel schedule.Alderman Case and his spouse Julia have two sons who attended local schools and are currently attending college.He is an avid golfer and member of the Weston Lakes Men’s Golf Association.Alderman Case was elected to the City Council in the initial election of 2008 and was unopposed in the election of 2009.

Denis DeLuca

Denis DeLuca is the President and CEO of Biotics Research Corporation and is a member the Board of Directors.As one of its founders, he has worked at Biotics for over thirty years.Representing Biotics, Denis is a voting member of the Fort Bend Economic Development Counsel.In addition to Biotics Research Corporation, he has started a number of businesses including a 24/7 commercial printing company and distribution organizations.Denis’s hands on commitment to charity dates back over 25 years beginning with a networking club whose goal was to raise money for the local Spina Bifida Chapter.He has been hands-on with the preparation and delivery of hot meals to the homeless and has been a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Denis was also one of the founding Board members of a Not-for-Profit Charity.It was a charity whose sole purpose was to convince the natural foods industry to donate products for the needy.The charity raised several million dollars worth of donations in the first 24 months. In 2009, Denis was asked to join an advisory committee for Oak BendHospital.

Denis is very active in his community; he has managed and umpired little league baseball and assisted with the coordination of a neighborhood watch program for his previous neighborhood in Katy. In 2008 he was elected as an Alderman for the City of Weston Lakes. Denis enjoys spending time with his wife, Debbie, and his two young children.He likes to golf, fish and participate in family based activities.

Gary Owens

Gary L. Owens and his wife, April, have been residents of Weston Lakes since 1993.They have two children, Lauren and Brett.Gary holds degrees in Finance & Economics, Accounting and Banking.Gary is President and CEO of SWNB Bancorp, Inc., a multibank holding company headquartered in Houston, President and CEO of Southwestern National Bank, and a Director of Nevada National Bank.Gary previously served on the inaugural Weston Lakes POA for three years and has served on various trade, professional and non-profit boards.He and his family are members of River Bend Baptist Church.   Mr. Owens was elected to the Weston Lakes City Council in November 2008.

Trent Thomas

Trent Thomas and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married  since 1963.  They have two grown children, a daughter, Clancie, and son, Devon, and 5 grandchildren.  He and Elizabeth moved to Weston Lakes in November 2003. Trent graduated from UCLA in 1964 with a degree in International Relations.  He was commissioned through the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program, entered active Army service in September 1964 and served over 32 years on active duty, retiring with the rank of Brigadier General.  He is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College.  He was an intelligence officer who has led and commanded at every level of the Army from Infantry Company Command in the Republic of Vietnam to Major Army Command.  His final assignment was as Commanding General of the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command, where he commanded over 12,000 soldiers and civilians located throughout the world.  He is now a federal contractor as the Senior Vice President of the National Security and Force Modernization Sector of Quantum Research International with over 130 personnel in over 14 locations throughout the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan.  Trent has a strong track record of working in harmony with people to achieve the best possible results.  He is a team builder and knows that we are not enemies, but neighbors who need to work together for the common good.  Trent is active in the Simonton Community Church, where he participates in the choir and acts as a fill-in Sunday school teacher.  His hobbies include golf, skiing and volleyball.  Alderman Thomas was elected to his current position on the Weston Lakes City Council in November 2008.
