We recently had a sanitation spill in Riverwood Forest that went on for about 5 days before it was corrected.  Although there were notifications to the Sanitation Company neither the City or the POA was notified.  Clearly we have to tightenup our emergency notification procedures and we will do so.  The law requires that such spill be reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality within 24 hours and that obviously was not done.  There still remain a hazard in the Drainage swail on Westminster as the ground has not yet been treated.  An after action review and report will be prepared to ensure that all concerned are better able to respond to such threats to public health.  Emergency notification numbers are being placed on the home page of this web site.  We continue to address all of these kinds of issues through our Emergency Management Committee and will address in modificaitons of our emergency plans.
